Biography
Julian Guidetti is a musician, composer and music editor whose work marries traditional film scoring techniques with vibrant musical imagery.
Julian’s recent work includes the score for a brand new animated action-comedy series for Disney+ (currently awaiting release), musical contributions to Sky Docs’ Black Widow series, BBC Studios' Shakespeare: Rise Of A Genius - the centrepiece to the BBC's Shakespeare Season - and comedy series The Full Monty - featuring the original cast from the BAFTA award-winning 1997 film. He also also had his music featured on numerous trailers, most notably in Luca Guardagnino’s 2025 feature After The Hunt.
He composed the score for the animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park for Netflix, based on the Eisner Award-winning graphic novels by Hamish Steele and starring Emily Osment and Alex Brightman. Dead End was included in The New York Times’ ‘Best 50 Shows On Netflix Right Now’ in 2022.
Julian has scored a number of documentaries such as two-part ITV primetime special Yorkshire Ripper: The Secret Murders, Ancient Skies, The Woman In The Iron Coffin and The Cambridgeshire Crucifixion.
Away from film and TV, Julian has scored WYE, the multi-channel art installation created by Deutsche Borse Prize-winning Magnum Photographer Mikhael Subotzky, soundtracking a unique set of three interwoven films that explore South Africa’s history, identity and racial heritage.
A frequent collaborator with other composers, he worked with RTS-awarded composer Oli Julian on projects such as The Duchess and How To Build A Girl. He also worked closely with composer and three-time BAFTA winner Nick Foster on international thriller White Widow.
Julian has written bespoke compositions for international campaigns for global brands such as Apple TV, Amazon, Range Rover, Ford, IKEA, Jaguar and many more.
